April Marie Harris (born September 28, 1992) is an American television personality and model. She first came to prominence during her participation in Big Brother 1.
Life and career[]
Early life[]
Harris was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota to Edward Harris and Julie Samuelsen. Her father, a banker, is of Irish and Anglo-American descent, while her mother, an attorney, is of Norwegian heritage. Harris was raised in the United Methodist Church.
Harris grew up in an affluent family. She has an older brother: Jason, and a younger brother: Daniel. She attended private schooling her entire life, and graduated from high school in 2010. Following her graduation, she enrolled in the University of Minnesota, graduating with a nursing degree in 2014. She subsequently began working as a registered nurse in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area.
Career[]
Harris began modeling professionally while a college student, and was signed to an agency in 2011. After being cast on Big Brother 1, Harris quit her job as a nurse. She went on to place third on the show, and became a popular figure in the media for her frequent breakdowns and fights.

Harris was raised in Saint Paul, Minnesota, but moved to Los Angeles, California after beginning her career as a television personality following Big Brother 1. She identifies herself as a nondenominational Christian.
